The Dallas Bridal Portrait Advantage

Dallas Bridal Portraits - Pros and Cons

These days, every Dallas bride comes to the dilemma of whether or not to have her bridal portraits taken. Many Dallas wedding photographers such as myself now are offering bridal portraits as a part of their packages, whether you choose to take your portrait before or after your wedding.
Recently, the "after" wedding portrait's have recently been given the name of "Trash the Dress" which combines some more traditional bridal portraits with more adventuresome photos now that the dress will not be worn again.

First up, I need to say that many brides (trying to save a few bucks), hope that they can get away with having a couple shots taken on the day of the wedding ceremony, and that that will suffice for their "bridal portrait". Here's the problem with that: often the time runs our or the lighting at that part of the day between the ceremony and reception is not good. But even if there is time and you get lucky on the lighting, the main drawback is that you don't get to be as creative as you want to during your bridal portraits
Let's face it: what do you really want? Your wedding and your dress are incredibly special! You want to have your own bridal gown portrait session to show off their beauty and the dress in its full glory - which is actually YOUR beauty, and your glorious femininity!

PROS of Your Pre-Wedding Dallas Bridal Portrait Session

  • Provides a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity you will remember forever to have your hair and makeup trial done before the wedding, and putting that money to good use. You can see how you like your makeup and hair in the pictures and if you want to make any changes for wedding day.
  • You get to put on your wedding dress one more time! And making sure that all alterations made fit you perfectly.
  • You (finally!) get to see how you look with ALL your wedding day attire together - your veil, headpiece, jewelry, shoes.
  • I strongly suggest having a bouquet made just for your bridal portraits. Not only will that look great in the photos, it gives you the chance to try it out and see if you want to make any chances come ceremony day.
  • This is an opportunity for creativity on both yours, and your photographers, part to get some fun, romantic, and sexy shots of you in your pure white wedding dress. Nothing beats having beautiful artistic, and traditional, shots of you on your own dressed to the "nine's".
  • Working with me as your Dallas bridal portrait photographer, we get to work together for several hours. You get comfortable and experience how I work and how you can trust your results will turn out fabulous!

CONS of Your Pre-Wedding Dallas Bridal Portrait Session

Cons:
  • If in the process of your Dallas bridal portraits, you get creative, and your dress gets dirty, you may need to have it cleaned, but that is to be expected anyway.
  • Some are more pressured by time because of their dress delivery and/or wedding date. Do plan well in advance to avoid this if able.
In my opinion, and from the many brides I've helped, the pros definitely outweigh the cons! For total satisfaction in your wedding and Dallas Bridal portraits, call Marcus at 877-858-0071.
